[THATS NOT HOW YOU SAY IT.]

This post is a bit long over due but I am finally getting to it! A few days ago we stayed one night in a town called Phitsanulouk (pronounced P-san-luk). We had a long drive from Kanchanaburi to Phitsanulouk and we finally made a stop for lunch somewhere in between. We hoped onto a rice barge and cruised around the river for lunch. It has been way too long and now I cannot remember what we were served? I do remember though that we bought two rats on our drive that we brought onto the rice barge for the cooks to prepare for us. I wasn’t brave enough to try the rat but everyone said it tasted like bacon!
The view from the rice barge was beautiful! We got to see all of the local homes along the river. The people that live along the river have huge nets that they put into the river at nighttime to catch fish to eat. After a ride down the river hoped back to the bus and conituned our journey to Phitsanulouk.
Once we settled into the hotel we went and ate dinner at a local place then walked around another night market. We have seen soo many night markets but all of them are so interesting. This market was mostly food. We saw all the locals on their motorbikes stopping to buy dinner. They had all different sorts of street food that I can't remember the names of now but everything was soo good! This woman is deep frying a root (I forget the name) kind of like a potato!
The street markets here have no sort of sanitation so we have to be careful what we try! This was a short day (minus the long bus ride) so there wasn't much to write about. All of the water comes in the bottles like this! Isn't it so pretty with the elephants?
It rains here A LOT, which means it floods A LOT. We had to stop our bus to pull our suitcases out of the bottom so they wouldn't get soaked.
More adventures to come!
